Charcoal Briquette Making / Biomass Briquette Making

Making Charcoal Briquettes in Kenya
I think this is a really good overview of how making briquettes can improve the lives of many folks around the world as well as in Kenya.  It is a little unclear from the video, but I think this lady may be testing, mixing other biomass into the briquettes, or using agricultural waste as the charcoal dust source.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EVwYKYzrc0M&feature=share&list=LLEzkO4D0jnRiSfY3UN7fyKA

Here is an interesting report on briquette making in Uganda, along with economic and environmental anaylsis: http://www.harvestfuel.org/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Briquette-Businesses-2012.pdf

Another interesting link that shows how a meat mincer / sausage grinder can be used to make briquettes:  http://www.amm-mcrc.org/publications/biomasscharcoalbriquetting_english.pdf
