One Body One Hope - Liberia Africa
One Body One Hope http://www.onebodyonehope.org/ is a small non profit organization that had its roots in the small church in NW Iowa, that I attend. Originally, it connected our church to an Orphanage in Monrovia Liberia named Christ our Hope that is run by Pastor Emmanuel Bimba and his wife Fatu, along with the neighboring church Abide in the Vine Fellowship. It has since expanded to include several other churches in the U.S.A and Liberia. One Body One Hope is seeking to pair more churches in the U.S. to sister churches in Liberia in relational missions, as we both have so much to learn from one another.
Many children were left orphaned in Liberia because of the decades long civil war. Today One Body One Hope has recently opened another orphange in the north of the country (Christ our Hope North) due to children left orphaned by Ebola. Envirofit and Evan's Outdoor Store teamed up to purchase a new Envirofit 100 liter Rocket Stove for Christ our Hope orphanage in Monrovia Liberia. The new 100 liter stove should save a lot of fuel and time, not to mention be a lot healthier for the ladies doing the cooking there.
